He's in vigil? Invigilating? English is funny.

Well, keeping a vigil or to be vigilant is to be a watcher. Makes sense.

I always thought of proctor, like of an exam, as protecting the integrity of the process.

England was invaded a lot. Why do we say we eat beef instead of cow?
Old French buef "ox; beef; ox hide" (11c., Modern French boeuf), from Latin bovem (nominative bos, genitive bovis). Original plural in the animal sense was beeves.
Cow - on the other hand -Middle English cu, qu, kowh, from Old English cu "cow," from Proto-Germanic *kwon (source also of Old Frisian ku, Middle Dutch coe, Dutch koe, Old High German kuo, German Kuh, Old Norse kyr, Danish, Swedish ko),
Applied to the females of various large animals from late 14c.

Last night i had a series of dreams or maybe it was one long disjointed dream about letting go of things ropes, bags of groceries, goats always near a cliff or slope i guess i must just be tired of hanging on to therapy. only 26 hours til i find out. I am getting a weary of it and have definitely decided to have an extended break from the whole thing because it sort of overshadowed my life. if i do go back i will change a few things including asking if he will reconsider me writing things down he used to say its called talk therapy for a reason

Why bother hating aunt becky? Has she harmed you in some way?
Do you hate her more than the other parents/staff caught up?
To me this seems like chopping off the heads of all the aristocracy. Do you want blood running in the streets Madame DeFarge?
Sink me.

Comes una’s revolution, you’re going to be high on the proscribed list.

I am doing a chicken and zucchini and squash noodle bake. I am doubtful since I basically made up the recipe on the spot based on items in the fridge and freezer.

Because she contributes to the pool of stupidity in the world. Because before her, i thought of it as simple ignorance. A lack of knowledge. The void. A vacuum. But now i see stupidity as a steadily growing force. Like a mucocele on the infected appendix of the colon of humanity. She changed me.

Sorry, artie, i got carried away there!

I don't see it like that - but not surprising that we do not agree.
Human beings are messy, stupid, opportunistic, quite geared to hierarchy, etc.
I just don't see her as any worse than anyone else in most ways. I also see things on a pendulum - going to one side and the swinging back when it gets too far.
I don't particularly care for her - but I don't see her as the scourge of humanity.

Hey couchies. Still struggling but I've decided I"m going to try to go back to work on Sunday. (Unfortunately it's night wards which is ten 14-hour shifts over the next two weeks, which frankly sucks.)

I saw my T yesterday and he told me in great detail why he doesn't want me to be admitted to the hospital even though I'm doing quite badly. I sent him an email afterwards and he actually texted me at 10:30pm and asked if we could talk at 11... he wanted me to know that if I have to go to the hospital he'll support me in doing that.

It just felt a little weird to be talking with him so late at night, you know?

My Sunday must have sounded boring gardening reading about the black hole taking a walk and sketching. He lists his personality as homebody so maybe he is looking for someone more adventurous i just saw he read my profile i modified to invlude my mild disability and the fact i am not looking to be looked after. maybe he is having second thoughts
