I always wait at least a week to see if I am better. The one drawback to being in my late 50s is that I just don't heal as quickly. Of course, I don't go to drs even after a week -just that I give it a week to see if it does clear up. If it doesn't clear up within 6-8months then I consider seeing an md.

i am off to watch more My Favourite Martian I love how people have preserved these things. All hail the archivists. I joined a group to restored and colourise old film but the the work was slow nd the software expensive so think again when you see that a film has been colourised, all rht tesiuos work. of course it might be more computerised now but i doubt it

Crashing again, should call T but then I know there is nothing he can do. I don’t want to make him feel helpless just because I do. I like making him feel valued and appreciated because he actually reciprocates. But no session next week and our measly hour is the only thing I have to hold onto right now... I’m not holding on very well.

My cats like dried catnip but I don't know if they would know what to do with the fresh -perhaps try drying some and crushing it up for them. You can also make catnip tea for yourself.

I don't think therapists are that fragile and the ones I have known have encouraged clients to call

Thanks. I don’t really think he is fragile, far from it, he is the most “together”, balanced, healthy T I have ever worked with. He is totally my rock.

However, he can’t do anything about my son or how threatened I am feeling about being with him. He wants me to eat healthy (as do I) but he can’t exactly fix my stove or pay for my dinner. Right now I think he would agree that I feel like crap because my life is crappy and it is a pretty healthy sign that I feel like crap. And, he knows I am doing everything I can to make my life better, it just isn’t working.

He would gladly return my call so that I could hear his voice but I have his old voice mail messages for that as well.

I am hungry, tired and beat down with no support system and few resources.

I keep trying to grow catnip but as soon as the shoots come up it is over! My one little nip-a-holic is SO bad. Funny thing is they will not go over to my sister in laws catnip... they must think she is a B* too. If I snip some and bring it home they will indulge.

OMG I can’t even win at the bar to night. Holy h*ll. All the damn tables reserved but no one at them, pool guys hogging my side of the bar and getting hit on by a drunk autistic in a Chewbacca costume who’s “friends” really need to... well... yeh...who brings an autistic to a bar in a Chewbacca costume, lets them get drunk then let’s them run about unsupervised?

Beam me up Scotty!! WTF did I do in my last life for this karma?

On the up side no one can play pool worth a crap... geometry and physics are calling from felt covered slate... just need a wing man... don’t trust this crowd to get a whoopin from a chick with grace...

So Info is giving a paper at a conference in two weeks.

I am amusing myself by wondering what she’ll be wearing.

Feeling much better.

It turns out I was apprehensive about going back to full time work. But once I got stuck in, everything starting coming back to me and I am confident I can do it.

These things were a bit out of character for him and may have been the beginnings of his disease, but they really hurt me and no one (husband or mom) at the time stood up for me and told him to back off. For context, one incident happened when we went to visit the area of their city next to the river and I suggested we rent some bikes. He yelled at me how stupid that idea was and then continued to berate me for 5 or more minutes on the street corner. I think I tried to escape by going into a shop for a few minutes and when I came back out he was still pissed. There were other incidents on this one trip. I feel that our relationship was damaged by this stuff, at least on my end. I feel so guilty that I let this affect our relationship. Now he's dead and I can't fix it.

NP this kind of stuff would damage any relationship and you didn't do anything wrong in the way you subsequently reacted. No one deserves to be yelled at. You did your best in a difficult situation.
