Good morning Couchies, Mom and Dad are coming home today from my sisters! I'm excited. It's amazing how much they do for me. Just having to cook for myself, and take care of all the pets by myself, and clean up everything (Basically adulting) has made me realize how much my parents do for me and I'm so grateful for them. (BTW, they were only gone three days.) I realized that I can do all of these things for myself, which was a good thing, just that it's easier when you have someone helping you. The SH feelings have been strong and intense. Some of what I have been wanting to do would be extreme for me. So I'm glad that option is off the table right now, but something T said is sticking with me...she said, "you can always change your mind..." That was the wrong thing to tell me. Because I made a commitment to not SH. And if I can change my mind, what good was the commitment? HUGS Kit

Hi Kit,

You can change your mind, but hopefully because of the commitment, you won't.

I'm picking up the Percocet but plan to use it only at night. I've had the outbreak longer than 72 hrs so they didn't prescribe for that, too late, just for the pain. I really like this hospital.

Thanks @LostOnTheTrail. That is what I am hoping too. I don't know why my T would say that. It's like giving me permission, when that's what I'm trying to avoid.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. I hope you feel better soon. Shingles are horrible. Kit

A while back, somebody posted a poll on fees. I'm trying to find it again, and I can't remember who posted it. Help me, Couch!

Artie, so they are sending you home? Thats goodish news. Not to be TOO nosy, but do the shingles go right or left from the navel? I.e., are they going to interfere with any surgery? Will you be posting the CT? Okay, maybe thats a little too nosy... love ya!

This is how interesting the weather is here: the owner has the air conditioning on, and it's cold in the office, so I have my space heater on at my desk, in my office.

We are in the monsoon season here. It has rained for the last few days. The park where I walk the dogs every day has giant lakes of standing water all over the fields and ducks are floating around in the middle of the softball fields. There is flooding going on in this state and (as I am near the border) in the next state over.

Polio water!

That should probably be added to the couch dictionary. We also keep historical terminology like that.

Definitely good news!

Chiro can read CT's, but it all looks the same to me.

Too nosy?!

What are you watching?

Can you get BF or a friend to come over?

I doubt it was me. Fees are the thing I am not all that worried about with a therapist. Once one has decided to hand them money to do nothing - I think fees are one of the things that keeps them back and safer to deal with.

I watched Missing Link, which was pretty meh. Now I’m watching the previews for After.

One of my friends is going to come over after work. I don’t want to drain BF by being all needy all the time :/

I'm very attached to my T. We finally went down to every-other-week sessions a couple of months ago and I'm doing surprisingly well. I even said today that I can see myself ending therapy with her someday. That is huge for me. We talked a bit about this. I've been handling all the big things like my mother's death, my cancer diagnosis and surgery, and buying/selling a house very well so I'm more confident that I can actually live without her.
