I just thought this could be fun
 Sometimes I find a meme and I’m like, “this is exactly me!!” and I would show my t but he might think that’s weird.. So it can be memes you do share or wish you could share with them haha. |

I asked my T if he knew what a meme was and he asked if it was "like an emoji"
context: he asked me if I ever thought about what he would say about situations when I was being cruel to myself and going down the cognitive distortion rabbit hole. I started laughing and tried to explain this conversation with a friend. TW for reference to abuse/trauma
Possible trigger:
I tried to explain it to my T (only the first part with the mocking spongebob and my friend's response) and eventually he was like "i guess you had to be there" and I was like "or, y'know, under 40." God, I can't even imagine trying to explain "silence, bottom" to him. Oh, and a Reductress article How to Explain What Memes Are to Your Therapist (A bit cheesy and definitely written by someone who's a tiny bit behind on memes and only heard about them once they've already made their way to Facebook. Still funny). Oh and I forgot my favorite one
