I have a 100% in my class for the first week. The next week doesn't start until Thursday so I'm ahead a bit. I'm not expecting this to be how every class is, but it helps right now to know I'm doing well.
I took my younger ones to Build a Bear this morning for their pay your age thing. 2 stuffed animals for $5 instead of $60. Played around the mall for a while too.
Try Guys show is tonight.
Heading to therapy now, and I'm nervous about what we will probably end up discussing. I haven't told H that it's even on the table right now.

Hugs, SheHulk, hope session goes well.

My daughter made a rainbow-colored Build-A-Bear (she calls her "Rainbow") with my mother-in-law a couple months ago and keeps taking her with her wherever she goes. It's cute. They seem quite durable!

I don't like that I am going to talk like this but I am thinking of doing a piece of art that honours exT and the work we did. This may change by tomorrow or even this afternoon but it feels like something that will help, even if I haven't understood the concept in the past

Today is self care day I am washing my sheets and doona cover as you could make a new pet from the animal hair and it smelt a bit doggy. I also bathed the dog so he doesn't smell so much he has poor aim and manages to pee on his front legs usually

They are pretty durable; which I'm glad because they cost so much. All my kids have about 2 each now, and they've lasted through a lot.

Session went...okay-ish I guess. I don't even know how to feel about it. He brought up the hospital again to ask if I thought more about our conversation. I told him 2 of my fears about school and my H being mad. I've never made this decision myself, it's always been forced the 3 times I've been in. I honestly dont know what to do. T kept saying that if I want to SH at all to call someone even him. I told him I'm worried about tonight with H, and hoping my gut is wrong.

Poor T... last week after session I triggered. He sent an email of concern and clarification and I told him we were good... then today he had me scheduled for 1pm and I wrote down 2pm and I am always early. Poor T. He was so worried that either I was leaving therapy because of last week or something horrible had happened to me and we hadn’t had a chance to fully clear things up. I have never seen a T so relieved to see me!

Yay! Detroit had a good fireworks show tonight! Somebody finally learned how to run the computer! AND they didnt just pick random music that was hard to listen to. They at least had a theme, a tribute to Aretha. I will have to catch the reruns over the next two weeks

Tomorrow I’m spending the day at a workshop on how to help first generation college students.

My mother—who married a first generation college student who barely spoke English and worked full time while in college but still did extremely well—called it “cosseting” when I showed her the program. I am inclined to agree—I am supposed to be a coach and not a professor, apparently.

I don’t understand these people who fall asleep on planes, sleep through landing, then wake up hours later on an empty plane. How do they do it?

First, I can’t sleep on planes. Second, how does anyone sleep through landing? And even if you do that, how can you sleep through all the luggage removal and people bumping you and your seat as they deplane?

I want what they’re having, she said, facing another night of insomnia.

I sleep on planes. Movement puts me to sleep. I have often thought how great it would be if I could hire someone to drive me around all night so I could sleep. I don't know how one sleeps through the deplaning though other than if she had taken some med to put her to sleep or take away the anxiety of flying.

Isn't it possible that your mother's spouse was exceptionally talented and that others might need a little extra help?

I wish I could have some of what they're having, too. Then perhaps I could have slept through the thunderstorm in the middle of the night last night. Or the zillion other things that wake me up (I tend to wake up a bunch through the night--always have). I have no idea how someone could sleep through landing, let alone deplaning. Hope you were able to get some sleep.
