After my appointment tonight I really want to ask T what she is thinking. She asks me that a lot and i struggle to answe every time. Tonight she said that she loves all my facial expressions.

Have you ever asked what T is thinking if so, did th answer?

Yes, and I have never gotten an answer until Awesome T... I ask every so often. Last session he was particularly lacking in filters and very informative. What he share was extremely helpful to me but I don’t feel comfortable sharing as some would find it unprofessional (if he thought I was going to take it badly he never would have said it, he knows me well enough to know that I would be OK with it.).

I think I did, but I'm drawing a blank about when that happened and what she replied.

ETA: Actually, I think C did, not me. That makes sense. Her sessions are such a snoozefest I'm surprised I remember this happened at all. Still don't remember what the therapist said, but it was probably deadly dull, just like the session. I wonder if the therapist feels all woozy and drugged after listening to C. I'll have to ask her next week.

Yes, I have asked. She has answered, I think truthfully. But I can't be sure.

No. It never mattered to me what the therapist was thinking. Sometimes the woman would ask me if I wanted to know what she thought and I would always say no. Sometimes she would tell me anyway and I would have to point out that then the asking me was just messing with me.

I haven't asked what he is thinking but I have asked several times "what is that look for?"

He will always respond back with what he was thinking at the time. I appreciate that he answers each time because it validates that I wasn't imagining the look.

Yup. I ask this often and T usually replies. Often it is about his debate on what kind of response would be helpful to me in the moment.

She sometimes has a particular facial expression, part smug part entertained, which prompts me to ask her what she's thinking. She says, "My brain is working". At least she has the basics covered.

I have asked and mostly gotten deflection. Occasionally she'll answer. I don't recall anything special - other than the times that she wants to know why I'm asking as a deflection tool. Being deflected in general bothers me, but her turning the table and asking why I want to know, is annoying for me. So, I don't ask her that often.

Yes, on occasion and T replies. As to whether T is telling the truth or not, that is another matter...
