What do you of me asking my therapist a med question. She is not a doc.
OTOH I could get her opinion. Of course I could ask how she feels concerning me asking such a query.
I want to know if she thinks he is motor ticcing. ie experiencing motor tics.
Should I wait to see my pdoc. Its not emergency I'm diagnosed with Touretterd by a neuro. Tourette's is on my mother's side. My co existing disorders,, depression, OCD, ADHD.

I'm confused, why do you want to know?

In any case it seems like something a medical doctor would diagnose.

Thought I explained that I was diagnosed by a neuro with tourettes. Ergo I am interested in other people with tic disorders. I do think an MD or DO can diagnose.

My husband has Tourette’s syndrome.

There is no way to know what some random guy on the Internet is doing though, ticking or it’s one of those cycling videos where videos just repeat the same thing endlessly. Also it takes more to diagnose Tourette’s than just observe one tic. Not every tic is Tourette’s. Are you questioning your diagnosis? Why would your therapist care what this stranger is doing?

My husband always says that’s a bad idea for people with Tourette’s watch other people with Tourette’s as compulsion to copy other people’s tics is strong.

If you have concerns, do see your pdoc or GP or talk to your therapist of course.

Diagnosing from a picture is a rather 'dangerous' thing to do in any circumstance. Let alone diagnosing a random human being - from a picture.

I would be surprised if your therapist (provided they were even trained to diagnose) or any medical professional indulged this request.

I do realize any pic of anybody possibly ticcing doesn't prove Tourettes since Tourette syndrome is defined by vocal and motor tics.

It just looks to me like he has a pained expression on his face, like somebody fouled out or something. And the video is definitely on repeat. I dont see him ticcing. I see him moving his head once.

You guys haven't been paying attention to politics ,there is something called the "Goldwater rule" speculating on a diagnosis of a patient you have not personally examined is basicly forbidden, it goes back to the 1970's and presidential canidate Senator Barry Goldwater chances of becoming President evaporating due to professional speculation involving his health ,has reared its ugly head again due to trumps challenging behaviours ,so I dare say nobody is going to comment on this clip ,if they have an ounce of sense .be it physical or mental health or a toss up of the two .it could make any actual doctor or therapist get labeled and maligned if it got out they were speculating .

I understand your intrest ,but think it would be very bad to put a doctor or therapist on the spot, about a "weird elevated meme" .you will get better more relevant information on tics or anything else by not using an actual persons behaviour or likeness ,unless it's say a training video or documentary about the topic ,and the people involved all disclosed the condition and recieved compensation for the right to use their likeness or identity and diagnosis in the video. JMHO
