Ask your current T. Tell him this other one is seeing former T's client to clear issues with her. It will be only two sessions, very specific. Ask what current T thinks about that. I did this at my T's suggestion when something happened & he thought a female T would be beneficial. He did ask for my permission to consult with her. Saw current T uninterrupted and saw her three times. Your current T may have reasons he doesn't think this is a good idea you haven't thought of or he may be happy you are taking control of your health. Everything above board. Sorry therapy has been a bad experience for you.

For what it is worth, I have done that 2 times for different reasons. Both times I consulted with another therapist it was short lived, like 3 sessions. Sometimes we need to talk to someone else. Therapy is weird and can bring up lots of things we are unsure of how to handle.
I don't know what you posted, so not sure if that was what you needed. |
