Listening to grand rounds by the worst up-talker I've ever heard in a professional presentation. And it's about teeth. I'm a doctor, Jim, not a dentist!

Don't teeth relate/lead to other problems though? Heart disease for example.

@@, not only did this make me laugh, a lot, it kind of unstuck me because it reminded me how much I don’t like busywork.

This time around, I am so much more interested in what I am going to learn than I am the grade. So I explored a topic that was more interesting to me but a bit of a stretch because I don’t quite know that I really understand it well enough to write about it. We’ll see how that goes over.

Morning couch. Starting off my day annoyed cuz my work computer won't start up correctly. If it ain't one thing it's another huh! Oh well. I just booted it again. 3rd times the charm?

Email from my mother to me and my sister to start my day. Back pain now so bad that she can’t leave the house. Heading up there this weekend—meanwhile getting a relative nearby to check on her.

The part that’s tearing at me is her last sentence, “is anyone available to come stay with me?” Like she thought we might actually say no.

That stupid @ thing strikes again. I hate that it can't be turned off.

You have every right to feel that way.That sounds so ridiculous.

Ask her to pay you $100 (her session fee) instead.

I’m feeling invisible. Showed up for my psychiatrist appointment this morning and they had no record of it.

At this point I am forced to conclude Una has put the evil eye on me.

I think they say flossing and plaque prevention is linked to heart disease prevention.

I am definitely feeling okay about cancelling T tonight. Of course, I haven't done any of the homework for Pastor T and I see him on Monday. EEK! I guess I should get to it. Obviously I don't have much enthusiasm for such things. I am out of school for a reason! I don't want to do homework!

Yesterday Info and today Pdoc. It’s really off they both happened the same week.

Not till December but as it was just a med check in and I’m feeling okay in general that is fine.

Seeing the T for D this afternoon (P). H won't be able to go because they're still working on our bathroom (getting shower replaced, which has then turned into a bigger project, as these things do...I'll be happy when there are no more workers in the house, though they haven't been this morning). Pretty nervous, as I have no idea how D will respond to P and vice versa. I talked to her on the phone for an hour last week and liked her but haven't met her in person. She's in the same office suite as Dr. T, but they don't actually work together--like he rents the space to her, but he doesn't supervise or employ her. He mentioned her name because he knows she works with younger kids (he only works with teens and up). T doesn't have a particularly good attention span, so concerned she's going to want to leave after like 20 minutes, but hopefully P can engage her in playing or something (play therapy is part of her modality). I was hoping H could come because that way, if D just wanted out or something, one of us could have stayed to talk to P. Hopefully we can make it work!
