Whatever makes sense for the other things I'm doing that day, but usually jeans and a sweater. The only thing that's specifically for therapy is I wear shoes that are quick to take off and put on, because I lie on the couch.

I go directly from work so typically desserts pants or kayak style with a dressy shirt or sweater. Usually with some time of sleep on shoes or clogs. In the winter I also wear a lot of the fashion boots. I also wear a lot of dresses/shirts with ballet flats or heals.

In the rare occasion that I have the day off work, I might wear Jean's and a blouse. I almost never wear sneakers to therapy or in my every day life. I have worn them a couple of times to see EMDR T because I didnt work before hand and decided to go on a nice long walk before my appointment or on a couple of occasions we planned to go for a walk during my appointment.

Even though I do not work the day I see pdoc, I tend to dress up to some degree. First that is how I am the most comfortable and I know They asses a clients appearance and I don't want them to know based on my clothes.

I never wore anything in particular to therapy. I never cared. Whatever shirt and pants that were on top in the dresser-like I do everyday. I never wore PJ’s to therapy though.

Clean/not grungy underwear because my mum taught me that you never know when you might have to go to the hospital.

😂

What I wear over my underwear is random. I usually like to have a sweatshirt or scarf that I can hang on to though. My T has seen me in the hall when I first wake up, on school camping trips, and canoeing/swimming/climbing trips so he's seen it all.

.
My mom never taught me, unfortunately. I've learned most personal hygiene on my own. Or anywhere to reveal those things. Including personal grooming. Anyone wants to start a thread about personal grooming, how it relates to therapy or just in general?

If you start that thread it would be popular and interesting.

I know these were autocorrects, but I love "dessert pants" and "kayak style."

I bet there would be a lot of interesting stuff there. I know I've learned a lot of things I didn't know that I didn't know from living away from home.

I’ve always had twig legs no matter how big I have been, even when pregnant and I gained almost 60lbs I still had twigs for legs.

I also avoid them because I need them to fit my waist but the leg area are like 4 times to big and look baggy, terrible

I wear my ugly shorts while I’m at home , outside to because I have acreage and only cows see me lol

I personally just don’t think it’s appropriate when seeing a medical provider or T , just my opinion of course. Maybe if I had amazing model type legs I’d think differently? Nah probably not.

I wear shorts because I get quite warm in the summer, but usually around bermuda length, so hitting close to my knee. No Daisy Dukes here!

I'd say 30-40% of the time I'm coming straight from work, so it's whatever I'm wearing that day — polo, short-sleeved collared, button down short-sleeve, sweater, khakis or non-blue colored jeans, sneakers, casual loafers, boots (if there's snow) or dress shoes once in a blue moon. When I'm not coming to work, it's just whatever shirt I grab in the closet, jeans and a hooded sweatshirt.

As much as I'd love to wear sweats and a t-shirt, I feel too self-conscious, like he'll think I'm a slob that just rolled out of bed (even if I did).

I usually just wear jeans and a North Face hoodie or jacket. The same stuff I wear when I’m not seeing her.

Ummm my usual clothes. When I’m depressed I don’t wear anything special but my clothes are always clean and I’m good condition. I don’t leave my house in pjs or ratty clothes

Sweatpants and sweater in Winter, shorts and shirt in Summer, exclusively. I once had job interviews both before and after my session, I brought a backpack with my therapy close to change into. I need to feel comfy.

Yesterday we had a skype session from the hospital where I was working and he commented on how funny it was to do therapy with me in a white coat and stethoscope around my neck.

Usually it's just whatever I'm wearing that day--could be scrubs or jeans or nice clothes depending on where I'm coming from.
