WOW! I am really sorry this was your experience. This guy sounds very similar to my ex-therapist I dumped a few months ago, after 10 years of his mind ******g. Predatory is accurate and so is narcissistic, covert on many levels I imagine. I really believe my person was psychopathic; that usually goes hand in hand when they are extremely narcissistic. The spectrum is wide and it seems like yours sits right next to my ex-therapist at the far end. They know exactly what they are doing and derive tremendous pleasure through the manipulation. You are not to blame in any way, even if you were manipulative. That is solely his responsibility as a professional, not yours. An ethical person would guide you through what your wants and wishes may have been, not take advantage of your state of heart and mind. This makes me so mad because they use needy, vulnerable people for their gratification. They are true predators. If I decide to file a complaint, it will be directly through the State licensing board. He is the one will a lot of explaining to do. I hope you find resolution and peace.

That's a lot of heavy info to process.
Self-care, self-care, self-care. Plus, more self-care. |

He is like the therapist of the worst nighmares. So sorry your paths crossed with him. You have been courageous standing up for yourself, and others too.
