Hi all. Just wanna say hi. Spoke about u all amongst a group of therapists today. I said how, if I ever had an issue in my personal therapy I would 100% trust a group of clients (ie you lot) over any group of therapists. Received 10000000x more insight and less judgement from you over the years.

Glad that is over. Usually my ex father in law remembers i am not keen on hugs and tries to hug me tighter which totally freaks me out and i end up in tears well i just got a normal hug as his alcohol related dementia is worsening though he remembered my termite problem. My ex mother in law tends to over hug too but she was a bit distracted.
Valerian has a really bad side effect for me if i buy it off the shelf i feel drunk and i am physically uncoordinated for three days after taking it. |

Reporting back from yesterday’s conversation on Valerian Root. I don’t really think it helped. I didn’t have an issue falling asleep last night but I think that’s more because I woke up at 4am Saturday morning not because of the Valerien. It didn’t really quiet down my anxiety. The capsules I have have 50mgs of Valerian Root in them and no other ingredients are listed except what the actual capsules are made of. I think today I’ll take 3 of them. One now, one this afternoon then tonight.

Ugh. Other things you could try in the meantime (if you haven't already) are magnesium and/or L-theanine--both act on GABA receptors (which is the same thing that Klonopin and other benzos act on--alcohol affects them, too). There are also supplements that contain straight GABA, but I'm not sure those are as effective? |

At a real live gym for the first time since med school (I’ve been going to yoga or using the spin bike at home or, more commonly, not exercising at all). Going to do the elliptical, some weights, and then the steam room.

Today, the whateveritis is coming in waves. 'Maintain grip intensity' as Nathan W. Pyle would say, I guess.

I told my parents last night about my recent sui attempt. That was well....awkward. it went okay-ish. I just dont want to hurt them. I always want to protect them. Then they always freak out and it's so not helpful. But I knew they needed to know. A friend of mine was pushing me to tell them. And I'm seeing Pastor T tomorrow, so I guess I will tell him, and he might tell my parents so I thought I had better tell them myself. My friend who is

Don't know if anybody has already mentioned it, but kava kava has been clinically proven to be effective for anxiety. You can order it on Amazon.
