Woah, this is all SUPER unethical. I read on another thread that you are thinking of going to a termination session with her? Please don't go... please just block her. This is all really creepy.

You note that you don't want to report her, but keep in mind that then you're leaving the potential for this to happen to someone else. You worry about her ability to cope... her mental health crisis is NOT your responsibility. It sounds like she needs some serious help to be honest, and to not be practicing therapy at all.

Your reporting her might actually be the best thing you could possibly do for her in order to get her to get the help that she needs.

Since I wrote this, I’m thinking more of reporting her. I’m going for a termination session so that I can hear what she has to say in person. I feel like I’m strong enough now not to let her walk all over me. I’m going to call her out on what she’s done and see how she responds. If she feels like she’s done nothing wrong then I will make the decision to report her.

I can't see the benefit of a closure session. As evidenced from her latest email, she has no awareness of doing anything wrong.

I can only repeat that what she has been doing with you in no way, shape or form, can be labelled as "therapy". She is messed up.

I had my closure session this afternoon. We spent 4 hours going really deep into everything and I explained what I felt went wrong. She explained where she was coming from and what she was trying to do with me. She acknowledged that what we’d been doing wasn’t therapy and she wanted me to know that if she ever worked with someone who had BPD in the future she will work with them in a totally different way. She said she’s learned a lot from me. I said I was thinking about reporting her and she said she understood and would never stop me from doing that. Overall it was definitely worth going to, I knew I was strong enough to handle it. I got exactly what I needed from it, to be honest I wasn’t expecting to get closure but I feel I truly did. I said everything I needed to say to her.
