I went to visit my in-laws over the weekend and had a lot of fun, but I am totally spent. Supervising a busy toddler in an only partially baby-proofed space is exhausting.
Trigger for upsetting medical stuff about my uncle (mom's brother) who is in the hospital:
Possible trigger:
My mom is there and she didn't tell me any of this was happening, even though she knows my uncle and I are fairly close. I think she wanted to "show" me that I do need her after all even though we aren't in regular contact anymore. What a messed up time to do that. Next weekend I'm going to drive back to my home state for the first time in almost three years to visit. It'll also be the first time that I go by myself (sans wife) in over nine years. Should be interesting... |

Morning, Couch.
Last night was long and difficult. I have a work meeting tomorrow. I am considering playing the first 50 seconds of a song in session on Thursday, but wondering whether that's a fabulous waste of time. The song is not one I wrote, but the lyrics say a lot about my current state of mind. __________________ 'Somewhere up above the great divide Where the sky is wide, and the clouds are few A man can see his way clear to the light 'You have all the grace you need for today, and today is all that matters.' - Steve Austin |

I have to fill out a parent rating scale (BASC3) for my 5 year old and some of the questions seem a bit much for a 2-5 year old. Not to mention that it's 139 questions. Between her and my oldest 2, I've filled out over 500 questions in the past week or 2 for IEPs and our in home therapy.

Hi Everyone. Pdoc on Friday: he added another anti-depressant Cymbalta (or technically the generic for Cymbalta--which I was on Cymbalta for years and I do not remember it working well at all, but maybe in combination with the Trintellix it will work?). He is starting me at 30mg but then he said if after a month I'm not noticing a difference to go to 60mg. He wrote the script that I take it twice a day at 30 mg each so I can switch to 60 if I need to. Then he raised my anti-psychotic Rexulti to 4mg because I am still having hallucinations. Only the pharmacy didn't fill that one but he gave me sample tablets to make up the 4 mg from the 3 mg's I already have. So I don't know if that has to get approved by the insurance or what. I noticed some nausea and I'm super duper tired. I seriously slept a lot this weekend. I would have slept more but I didn't want to worry my parents. I don't know if the tiredness is the medication or the depression or something else entirely. The only thing I dislike about raising the anti-psychotic is that I feel more numbed out and sedated than usual and that's a tough feeling.
I haven't SH-ed now in 23 days. I did go to a NAMI support group on Thursday night and I actually participated! I don't know if it will be helpful but at least I went and the RN should be happy about that. As much as I wanted out of the hospital when I was in the hospital, I almost feel like I need to go back in the hospital. But I can't do that to my parents again, and I don't want to do that to work. So I gotta suck it up and be a big girl and just get through things. I asked Pdoc how to stop SH-ing because I've been doing it forever, and he was like, honestly I don't know. He said if I could find an IOP that was specifically for self harm it might be helpful for me. I don't know if I can find one in my area though. There's nothing super close to me. The only IOP's that I have found are at least an hour away and none of them have been specific to SH. He did give me some good advice re: the ER doctor and reporting him to the medical board if I so choose. I'm giving the hospital time to respond since I asked for a response by 3/2/2020 in my letter to the hospital complaining about the ER doctor. I'm wiped out. Exhausted. Not sure how I am managing anything today. But I am getting some stuff done. By sheer willpower I guess. HUGS to anyone who wants one, Kit __________________ Dum Spiro Spero IC XC NIKA |

Dr. T today said that I might notice something different about him. I said, OK. He said, "I have a new office chair." Me: "It looks about the same to me, so..." Dr. T: "It is, I was just messing with you. You may notice I've cut my beard considerably shorter." Me: "Yes, I'd noticed you seemed to be growing it longer before. Did you just not like it?" Dr. T: "Yeah, I found I couldn't stop playing with it when it was longer." Me: "Yeah, I noticed that last week but didn't want to say anything."

I want a day off everything.
At the moment new cat is helping by sleeping on top of my feet, but once she moves I’ll feel compelled to be doing something again. |

I sent Madame T a Christmas card by snailmail but got no reply.
She was not pleased to hear from me, it seems. __________________ Mr Ambassador, alias Ancient Plax, alias Captain Therapy, alias Big Poppa, alias Secret Spy, etc. Add that to your tattoo, Baby! |

Do people really expect replies to holiday cards? I like getting cards and sometimes send my own, but I've never felt any obligation to reply to one, or expected any kind of reply to mine. Especially if it's snail mail.

Random and unexpected for me. I was checking my patient portal for one of the Ts (The one I like so far) I've seen twice to make sure I had appointments scheduled the next 2 weeks. I do, but it's saying the appointments are now on Friday I stead of Thursday like we agreed on. Last session he specifically asked if I could come in on Thursday at 10am and I agreed. The portal was saying that time, but now it's saying Friday at a different time both weeks. It's not a huge deal, because I can somehow make it work We meet with my son's in home therapist on Friday's at 1230 and this appointment is scheduled for Friday at 1115. I'm really confused about this, and wonder if it's a glitch or if he changed it without discussing it with me. I'm tempted to text/call him about it but I don't want to be a pain.
