In my top ten, the only two I recognized was Friar Laurence (Romeo and Juliet) and Nick Carraway (The Great Gatsby). My top one was Billy Keikeya (Battlestar Galactica) Never seen it. #24 Anna Bates (Downton Abbey) Woo hoo!!! love her!

NP_Complete that is such a lovely offer! Fortunately our attendings have stepped up and are getting us catered lunches almost every day. But I really appreciate the thought

Today is mine and L's one year anniversary! We're going to play battleship She gave me half the game last time I saw her in-person. We're also going to do some more questions and answers. I wish I could see her in-person. I miss her so so much! But she said when we do get to see each other, we're going to give each other a big hug and play candyland or chutes and ladders.

In session today, Dr. T and I accidentally stumbled upon how surprise parties in the days of Covid will work: 50 windows opening up in Zoom with everyone yelling "Surprise!"

I know our district isn't the only one in the country, but we were notified today that the kids won't be returning to school for the rest of the year. I figured that was going to happen, but my kids are disappointed. I feel thankful that they're young and flexible with all the changes, but can't help but feel sad about things they'll miss.

At the end of the day, all staff got an email from the executive director that there’s a new policy about how furloughs would work if there was an emergency furlough. Which, reading between the lines, means there’s going to be a furlough. I’m the newest person in my department and I’m scared. We just moved into a new apartment and everything.

If anyone wants to make a mask but doesn’t sew, the method in the video at the bottom of the page worked okay for me (I tucked the ends in, though).

I purchased HEPA AC air filters to line masks I am making for my family - the Filtrete Advanced Allergen type. I have a few dust masks that I had before all this happened for craft and home improvement projects that create lots of airborne debris. I'm lining those first, then I'm sewing masks made of 600 thread count cotton pillowcases that will be lined with the filter. I'm going to try to encase elastic around the edges that can be tightened or something for a custom fit. I'm trying to find some sort of metal something that I can attach to be used to mold the nose. I think it might work to get some of those office supply prong things. Those are kind of sharp, but I can sew them between the two layers of fabric.

I'm definitely a beginner at sewing but I do have a sewing machine. Hopefully the finished products won't be so hideous that people will be too embarrassed to wear them!

We're all playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons because it is exactly the happy, outdoorsy island escape we need right now.

And here I am trying to resist the lure of the old-school RPG games from my favorite indie developer.

I could really go for killing a few dragons right now.

Woke up at 3:30am again. Tried to go back to sleep but no luck. Decided to take a bath, which was nice. But I have to get up at 6 to go to work so no chance of going back to sleep now.

Looks like I have tomorrow off, and maybe Tuesday too. That will be good because my face is really starting to hurt from these N95 masks—the marks are still here this morning even though I took the mask off last night at 7:30 or so.
