I am posting this here because I am really interested in the concept of insight ...

Insight from my therapist is feedback about those aspects of myself which are outside of my awareness. Broadly speaking, those aspects of my personality and character are outside of my awareness because I can't experience myself as others do, or because I am operating within my insular field of assumption or incomplete information. For example, my therapist has challenged me about my understanding of concern versus criticism. I had very limited understanding of others expressing concern for me, I almost always heard those comments as patronising criticisms. When she challenged me about my lack of understanding (and this was something which took several months of work), I was able to see that I had missed information about myself and others.

If we don't believe that others can provide insight, I think we are missing interesting and exciting aspects of ourselves and others. Therapists are no better nor worse placed than others to provide that insight.

I have actually never seen Fargo. Chalk it up to one of the many must see's that I've never seen. I've heard it is very good though.

Getting so tired now. Need a nap! An hour and 15 minutes left of work. It's Restaurant Friday. We order out on Fridays to support a local restaurant. At least no dinner dishes!

Tried taking a nap yesterday and kept hearing voices. So annoying. I thought it was my Mom but she denied it. Usually my voices are male but these ones sounded female or non-gender specific. Gotta talk to my T about this tomorrow.

Excellent use of the inchoative.

One might however say “dawn of adolescence” was redundant.

I like firm fruit.

That struck me funny! Why is that weird? Thats what my dad used to do: "im gonna eat an apple, you want some?" He would sit at his place at the table with a knife and the fruit. No plate. But i guess thats exactly why its not weird to me, you said exactly what my dad used to say. That IS funny.

Maybe try freeze dried fruit? It would be chalky, like your pom-pom stick or whatever its called. Not mushy, i guess most fruits and veg are mushy or get mushy.

How about fresh snap peas? They are very crisp and i think delightful. It has a singular flavor, rather sweet. Not too tough. Carrots are hard unless sliced very thin, but they have a mild, sweet flavor. Peas are the first veg i remember eating, straight from the garden.

Pears have the worst texture, mushy AND particles will get stuck under your gums, but they have a divine aroma and taste. Same for pineapple.

And that is the end of lunas cooking show for today!
Musk sticks dont taste like urinal cake smells, they are divine. I do like snow peas if thats what snap peas are? I do like carrots. I gues inmade a sweeping statement. I dont eat a wide variety of fruits and veges and i will generally goorge on things a once pr twice a year. I will eat salads or my version of salads for a fortnight every ocouple of months. It just so happens i havent eaten a piece of fruit in about 18 months. I get quite the lecture from my gp but i very rarely get sick and seem healthy enough so she doesnt push it too hard.

Pears are gritty thanks for pointing that out i struggle with what exactly it is i dont like about them and they taste funny. All beries are out. Mangoes make my mouth tingle unpleasantly. When i was parenting i ate vegies but reluctantly and never gave myself big serves. I think since being on my own and being poor i cut down on veges because they expensive except for potatoes.

The mouth tingle can be oral allergy syndrome. Do you have any pollen allergies, like grass or trees? There are some fruits that cross-react and can make your mouth itch (only if they're raw). I've had that issue with some fruits, including apples.

That's funny! Thanks for sharing.

I keep having good intentions and buying plums, then not eating them (or maybe eating just one). I've been doing this produce service called Hungry Harvest, where it's items that were either overstocked or too unattractive for stores, so it's a lot cheaper. Plus home delivery. And the guinea pigs like it!

Hey new couch!

Fruits bother me too! Bananas give me mouth tingling and a horrible stomach ache. Apples, pears and peaches make my teeth feel like they've been acid-etched. Berries are gritty from the seeds. Cantaloupe tastes bad. I like watermelon with or without salt, and citrus fruits.

Vegetables I don't care for are the ones people usually like, such as corn, carrots, peas, tomatoes (technically a fruit I guess), and celery. I do eat a lot of broccoli and cauliflower haha.

I acknowledge my weirdness.

I don't like cantaloupe, watermelon, etc. I love strawberries and blueberries but cannot abide the gritty, seedy berries. I do love grapes, oranges, cherries, pineapple, apples... not a fan of bananas much.

Watermelon and blackberries are amongst my absolute favorites. Pineapple and kiwi I have to be careful not to eat too much - pineapple gives me canker sores and kiwi causes my mouth to itch. I still eat them -but in more moderation than most other fruit. My dogs love banana and we often share one in the morning as a mid morning snack -one bite for me and I hand each of them a piece. It takes us awhile to finish one in that fashion.
