It depends. There are things, for example being kind and non-judgmental, where I'd expect them to also do these things to the best of their abilities. But then there's other things where I know that I need to practice those and maybe be a bit more over the top with them than 'normal' people and I'd not expect people who do not struggle with the same things to do these to the same extend that I have to. To take your example of the dietician, if they recommend to never eat sugar, I'd question that anyways (restricting your diet like that does not sound good to me). If they'd recommend to restrict sugar and they'd constantly stuff their face, I'd be upset about that (or rather find a new dietician). But if they recommend I eat less sugar because I have diabetes, then I could totally see that they have to watch their sugar intake less and can eat a slice of cake when they feel like it.
