Do you prefer a certain time of day for a therapy appointment?

I always preferred after work or late afternoon/evening. Going in the morning would have ruined my entire day.

Mornings are better for my work schedule right now, but if there were no other factors to consider I'd probably prefer late afternoon-early evening.

I like early afternoon. I work from home as a freelancer (including before pandemic), and that gives me time in the morning to get work done. And pre-pandemic, I used to sometimes like to have a beer someplace afterward, which wouldn't have worked so well if I went at like 9 a.m. Plus my brain doesn't work as well in the mornings--the couple times I've had an 8;30 a.m. session with current T (he's squeezed me in), I've felt much more disjointed, had trouble pulling words, etc. If it's too late in the day, then I sometimes end up with too much anticipation about it. So 12:30, 1, or 1:30 (my T used to mainly do sessions on the half-hour) is ideal.

I really like my T but it doesn’t matter what time it messes up the whole day for me anyway. Not too early though, I have too many rituals to do before I leave.

Mornings are better for me, as I don't have the opportunity to work myself up about it.

Due to my work schedule I can only go last thing in the day. If I had my choice I would still choose late in the day. I am not a morning person.

I used to love evening sessions. Mornings were the worst, now I see him at 1pm because I have to work evenings so don't have any choice. He did offer to come in when I finish work once, but I felt too bad to take him up on it, because it's so late.

I prefer the afternoon, around 2:00 pm or so, but strangely, I seem
to concentrate and open up more during evening appointments.

Mornings are better for me. I am sometimes emotionally raw afterward, but if I go later in the day I have too many other distractions in my head and it's harder for me to get into "therapy mode."

I prefer after work. I like having some quiet time to process the session and think about it. If I had to return to work /other activities I feel something important would be missing.

afternoon.

if I've had a bad day, or a depressing day, then it is the perfect oppotunity to talk about it.

Mornings to get it over and done with, even if I’m a mess for the rest of the day. I’m just a bundle of nerves if I have to wait.

Either morning or evening, not the afternoon. The afternoon just ruins my day because I spend the whole day waiting for the appointment and then I'm a mess afterwards.

Early afternoon not on Mondays is when I’m the most functional so we have stuck to that.
Mornings are too early so we stopped those. She’s never scheduled me after 3:45 before but the one time we did that it worked really well. I wonder how a night session would work out but I don’t think she works that late. I only had one night session in the last 9.5 years and it went pretty good.
