Recently when my parents were away, I let Emma sleep in my bed. Usually she sleeps in a kennel and the cats have my bed, but when my parents are gone we both feel better if she is with me. Emma wanted under the covers (and this was like Labor Day weekend) and she slept there all night. I did have the ceiling fan on but I was surprised that it was too cold for her. Then again, I sleep under the covers with my ceiling fan going as well.

Thanks! I don't think I know that word. There's lots of English words I still don't know. But I do think my vocabulary is growing just by being on the couch. Thanks @@ and Artley and unaluna and all the rest of you smart people out there!

I don't think Emma would like a snood because she doesn't like things on her head. I did buy her a hoodie and tried to put the hood up over her ears and she didn't like it. We had another poodle before Emma named Angel and she was tiny! (A runt in a toy litter.) She was only 2.5 pounds. I bought her a beanie but she didn't like that either. I just assumed dogs didn't like things on their ears.

My teammates are silly. We were just discussing the possibility of a cheesecake made with crushed up cheetos as the crust. I was like, I would eat that.

I don't know Artie, I don't think I would eat that, as much as I adore Cheesecake.

There's a no bake pumpkin pie/cream cheese/whipped cream in a graham cracker crust recipe that I posted in the Schizophrenia and Psychosis forum --there's a thread going there for recipe's that I want to try. I'm particularly pleased that it is no bake as it is still in the 90's here. It's probably still hot where you are as well. I'll see if I can find the recipe and I'll post it here on the couch if you or anyone else is interested.

No Bake Pumpkin Pie

2 cups canned pumpkin
1/2 cup sugar
8 ounces cream cheese softened
2 8 ounce containers of Cool Whip
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
2 Teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 3.4 ounce box instant vanilla pudding
1 cup milk
2 pre made 9 inch graham cracker crusts

Step one: put out the crusts so they are ready for filling
Step two: bottom layer add cream cheese, sugar, and one 8 ounce tub of whipped cream in a separate bowl and blend well with a mixer. Fill the crusts evenly with this layer.
Step three: mix pudding and milk and stir until thick. Add 2 cups of canned pumpkin, add pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, and cinnamon, stir until blended. Put this on top of the cream cheese layer.
Step four: for the top layer use the second 8 ounce container of cool whip to top the pie. Perhaps sprinkle a bit of pumpkin spice on top.

This recipe makes two pies.

Got this recipe from Facebook. I haven't tried it yet but it looks delicious and I want to try it soon. Especially now that it is fall!

Oh - sorry! Because i was bringing him the physical sunday paper on monday. But then i got angst because people started stealing it from the mailroom. So the point was to just talk to him about it before i cancelled it. Idk, maybe he wouldve picked it up sunday morning if given the option. The cost was the same to me, you had to get the paper to get the online back then. The point is, i angsted about it alone when i didnt have to - acting as if i were still in the past when i t'weren't.

Tocka: described by Vladimir Nabokov as “At its deepest and most painful, it is a sensation of great spiritual anguish, often without any specific cause. At less morbid levels it is a dull ache of the soul, a longing with nothing to long for, a sick pining, a vague restlessness, mental throes, yearning. In particular cases it may be the desire for somebody or something specific, nostalgia, love-sickness. At the lowest level it grades into ennui, boredom…”

Tocka was just because I was being nostalgic myself.

A former Couchie was very fond of the word hiraeth. It means nostalgia, but for something that never really existed, one just thought it did.

Doesn’t Burger King have chicken fries breaded in Cheetos or some such?

Well, they are of Latino heritage (I want to say Peru?), though not Mexican. The other one is a unicorn horn. No tiny mustaches or guitars/horns will be involved! (And I know you're at least mostly kidding!)

My cat aids the dogs in pushing treat bixes off the counter for midnight raids. I now put them away at night as the cat has worked out it if you push them hard enough a sealed lid will come off.

My big cat Stormy keeps knocking all my school stuff off my table. I pick the stuff up, 5 minutes later it's on the dang floor again. Guess I should stop leaving my stuff all spread out...

Inworked out what my anxiety was about. The state of my house i have 3 medium haired pets and its spring here and lots of shedding and the dut bunnies triggered mynanxiety of being punished for not keeping things clean. I am a naturally messy person and usually this doesnt worry me. I have calmed now and realised i will not get punished. How come i couldnt work through these things in therapy?
