He thinks clients should be able to handle whatever and then do it. You're not in that place right now. He's not going to get you there.

or perhaps "Dr. T mentions something about a current or past client." (or, today, his "very good friend," which is making me think of Kramer on Seinfeld suddenly-- "My good friend Bob Sakamano...")

Is there really no other therapist you can hire? This guy is a jerk and he does not sound like he is helping you.

I have a low grade fever

Teladoc wants me to stay home until next Wednesday. That means I miss my in-person session with L tomorrow. This sucks. The doctor doesn't think it's Covid or the flu, just some virus I somehow picked up, but I still have to be cautious. I'm super sad.

When I talked to my parents on my lunch break, they said I had two big boxes waiting for me at home. I think these are the boots that I ordered!!!! So excited. I haven't bought new boots in probably four or five years so it is time. I splurged and got 4 pairs because they were between $33 and $45 each. And I got a pair for my sister for Christmas. More excited about mine though than hers.

Just got a call from my primary care physician. It turns out she wanted to make sure I got my flu shot - but she called me herself (not the nurse or other office staff). I thought something must be wrong but nope, she just wanted info on the shot. Strange.

Of course, now I feel bad that I haven't seen her in over a year so I should probably schedule an appointment.
