The problem is that I'm going to take a COVID test before seeing them at all because I don't want to risk making them sick, so that'd make the COVID thing a less legitimate excuse.

Luckily she didn't ask.

Haha yeah, I talked to Liz about it yesterday and she recommended... yoga.

(And other helpful things, but still. Very therapisty.)

One unique point about Info: she has never recommended yoga.

Instead, she’s recommended Jazzercise and ballroom dancing.

Its the same here in Australia. One year one of the local mrmbers sent out birthday cards to everyone. I wrote back to say how creepy this was and a violation of private information not mention funding. I havent received one since. Seriously a birthday card from a total stranger. It wont make me vote them.

That sounds interesting. A couple of the comments I see mention belly dance. I'm considering trying it too.

I don't mind the activity and I find things like qi gong breathing exercises very useful -but I cannot get into/don't listen to any of the woowoo gooey chatter around it. I meditated and did yoga before I hired the therapist.

I really enjoyed belly dancing. Y'know I think I still have the practice videos saved on my computer I should pull those up and watch them and start practicing again.

You better hope she doesnt read here. Its not like she needs more costume ideas. Edith Head she's not.

Is anyone doing NaNoWriMo this year? I’m tempted to start, though I’m working seven days in a row over Thanksgiving and probably can’t keep it up during that period.

Maybe I should actually try that this time. I assume I could use it for a memoir sort of thing, right?

Yeah, of course!

I’m thinking I might use it as motivation to write up interesting cases and stories rather than doing a real live novel, but I’m still pondering.

My elderly in-laws live with my wife's sister and her husband. The sister's family regularly attends a church with a pretty lax stance on wearing masks. Now the husband has a confirmed case of COVID and my MIL has fatigue and a dry cough....
