Our church is a large church, but it is being safe. If members plan to come to church, we have to reserve a spot ahead of time, and there are limited spots to be sure of at least 6 feet between family groups (it's really more like 10 feet). They are still live-streaming and highly encourage anyone who is at all in a high risk category to worship from home. Those that come have assigned entrances and times to keep members distanced physically. Temperatures are checked. Masks are required. etc. We have not been going because, as a school teacher, I am at a higher risk of carrying asymptomatically because I am exposed daily to others in a confined area. I would never want to put anyone else at risk through exposure to me. I am also very asthmatic and my husband's health is poor. Just not worth the risks all around. I doubt we will return in person until the virus finally starts a clear diminishment and/or we receive a vaccine. Could be a long time. |

I am. When I've done it in the past it's been a motivator to get me at least writing every day - and that's my goal, not so much to meet the daily word count. I have a story that I started a couple years ago and it's been niggling in the back of my mind to start working on it again. I'm either going to work on that, or another idea I've been tossing around. This semester's class requires a good bit of academic writing, so the creative 'stuff' has been asking to be released! |

Got to see my son for a few minutes today, he dropped by on his way out to lunch. So good to see him even if it's only for a few minutes.

I think my therapist and his partner broke up. I feel kind of sad he's going through that. His life is getting upended too, even though he's the one that chose to close his practice and go back to school.

Hugs, it was an accident--you're not a bad pet owner. I'm sure your vet will realize that. Recently I trimmed one of my guinea pigs' nails too high up (cut the quick), causing it to bleed, and I felt awful (she was fine, used a bit of styptic powder on it). Then I got one of those nail grinder things to avoid that problem and...managed to get her nail caught it in (again, was fine). |

I have had this stomach flu sort of thing for about a week now. I am ready for it to be finished. I want to eat food I can chew rather than brothy soups

She required stitches So trying to avoid $50 groomer cost us $600... She's going to a professional from now on.

On topic of yoga, I want to like yoga. But it’s just not clicking. I don’t like anything slow pace. It gets on my nerves. But i know it’s really good. Just can’t get myself to like it

Going to transport a rescue for an owner surrender tomorrow. I hope she's not really scared. I think I have a couple things that are slightly too small for my dog that she can have. She looks really small and she's a chi so she'll be cold this winter. Poor baby. I'd want her for myself but it sounds like she might not appreciate my dog's boisterous attempts to make friends.
ETA - I am slightly apprehensive about getting the surrender paperwork from the owner, but I assume there shouldn't be problems since they're agreeing to surrender her to the rescue. __________________ Life is hard. Then you die. Then they throw dirt in your face. -David Gerrold |
