I wish I had thought to pay the woman in pennies each week. Even rolls of nickels would have made a statement.

Luckily, people were really wonderful. She kind of created a traffic jam, though. Finally, she ran into a storage place that was surrounded by fencing. She slipped through the closed gate. I had to squeeze myself under. A handful of people came and helped me. We were finally able to corner her behind a boat and I got her. I have not done so much cardio in at least a decade.

Of course, I was not wearing a mask as I was chasing her and neither were the people who helped me. I was going to go home this weekend, but that ruined my plans. Also can't go in to see the therapist. Oh, well. My own fault. Just glad she is safe now.

That sounds really scary and stressful! I'm glad you were able to catch her. But that really sucks about not being able to go home this weekend. Hugs...

Did you ever end up picking one of the two dogs you were considering adopting?

Someone online suggested putting salt in coffee so i tried just a very very small pinch and my coffee is virtually tasteless. Maybe i put too muh in or the wrong kind of salt they said a salt i dont think we have in our country.

LT, both those dogs were adopted when I called to ask about them. I've applied for two other dogs today.

Speaking of dogs, I saw a dog named Funfetti as I was searching adoptapet. That poor dog.

ETA - I also asked about two other dogs at a local rescue, but was told I couldn't meet them until they had been fixed on 11/10. This seemed strange to me as I am not about to impregnate a dog myself and my dog is neutered.

Naming a pet is as much of a responsibility as naming a child. I have no idea what that person was thinking.

I could probably get some foster children more easily than a dog.

I dont think animals care about what you call them but wht you call them reflects on you and Funfetti says i see this animal as frivilous. At least to me it does

Both of my cats have people names: Esther and Amelia. I've had people ask why didn't I call Amelia something like Patches. I was like, because these are my babies. And no one at the vet's office can spell Esther's name right. I'm like good grief. You're lucky I didn't name her Evangeline! My Mom's dog that she has now has a people name: Emma. But we had two dogs before that were named Baby and Princess. I wanted to name Baby Kayla instead but my mom didn't let me. Somehow she just got stuck with the name Baby even though she ended up being like 125 pounds. Princess I didn't think would live through the night. She was starving and we fed her with an eyedropper and her stomach swelled up. So I named her Princess. She had a webbed neck and webbed feet and the Mom had abandoned her. She went on to live five years. She was the stupidest dog but she loved Baby. She could care less about us but she loved Baby. Baby was so mean to her too but it didn't matter. Baby could do no wrong to Princess.

Aw, that's too bad about the other dogs. Hope one of the others works out! And that's an unfortunate name...

In terms of the ones being fixed, maybe they're concerned something could go wrong with the surgery? Or maybe just worried about breeders, but still, then they could just not let you take one home till fixed... With the dog we had briefly, we met her before she was spayed, then had to wait.

I always had Biscuit in my head for any dog I got and Frodo for a cat.

I walked someone's dog when she was sick for two weeks. He was Christof .

I'm still so worried about Esther. The vet appointment tomorrow cannot get here fast enough. First there was no urine in the cat boxes today. That is two days in a row. It is possible she went outside or hopefully not somewhere in the house. But it has never happened before that there is no urine in the box for two days. Second her appetite is almost non existent. She has eaten a little bit but usually she is ravenous and she just isn't. She seems like kind of stiff too. Could be arthritis as it has been colder here the past couple of nights. But I'm worried it is something more like kidney failure or renal failure (is that the same thing?). Or something to do with the tumors in her stomach. I'm scared of what the vet is going to say tomorrow but if it is time for her to go I pray that God gives me strength to let her go. I don't want her to be in pain. I tried enticing her to eat with some of Amelia's food, which worked a little bit but not much. I don't know. She's just not hungry. I have to make sure she eats enough to give her the insulin. Otherwise it could bottom her out. So tricky. Anyway, I'm so scared. I have like 25 and a half hours left until the vet appointment if they actually see us on time. Which would be a miracle.

Same with our school. They semi recently took on someone who had been struck off for

Possible trigger:

We only found out when some students googled him.
