I've been doing online therapy for a couple of years now. I really like it if I have a good T. My current T seemed pretty good when I first found her, but lately she hasn't been responding much. And she didn't respond at all yesterday even though she said she would. I feel very let down. I've only worked with this person for a month now.

I've had a lot of problems with online therapy since August. I had an awesome T for over a year but she left. Since then I've struggled to find a decent one.

I'm fed up. I've had enough. I don't understand my intense need to be heard by my T and get a response. Maybe because I'm paying her. But they make you feel like you're just a number. I'm done with it.

My plan ends on Wednesday. I'm not renewing. I will do without.

I just wanted to get that off my chest. It's been really bothering me. I rely heavily on my T because I have no one else. Now I will be all alone for sure.

How do you feel about telling your T what you wrote here - i.e. about not responding when she said she would, its impact on you, not feeling heard etc.?

You don't have to keep seeing her but some Ts may need a reality check by hearing clients' feedback.

I feel like it's a good idea. But I worry about sounding like I'm *****ing. I guess I can just talk about how I feel about it. I don't even feel like posting anymore in my therapy room. I feel like I'm just wasting my breath.

I wish I had your willpower to quit therapy. Good for you for deciding what’s best for you.

I decided to post how I felt about her lack of response and her not keeping her promise. I let her know I felt like the entire platform was flawed. It must be if therapist after therapist can't keep up with the demand. I feel absolutely angry. But I will try to feel the feeling and let it go. I only have 3 more days left. All trust is gone. I'm not sure I can continue to use the service anymore. I may just have to let this go and stop therapy before my subscription ends. I looked into getting a different therapist. My search only came back with 3 options and none of them looked good. How can a national therapy company only have 3 therapists available?

Quitting sounds like a good decision anyway. You already know your baseline expectations from therapist. Sorry to hear you have to face this. Fingers crossed for finding a good match.

I decided to take action. My therapist missed the response deadline today. So I was fed up. I was able to find another therapist. One that seems like she'll work for these next few days. And I filed a complaint and asked for 3 days to be added to my subscription. So I may have 6 days left. I'll see what happens. But I feel so much better. A lot less anxiety and frustration.
