Has anyone wondered if it would be wise to contact someone you met only once, but had a nice time, good conversation and generally might be a good possibility for a future mate? This is someone who is part of my bro in law's family, and I'd rather they, nor my family get wind of it, which is a distinct probability. Very tough meeting people, and even tougher someone with 'possibilities', one of the reasons I even entertain the thought. Any insights?

If you don't want the family to catch wind of it, how could you possibly have a relationship with this person? You would have to see them in secret, which is not sustainable longer-term. You would have to eventually let the family know. IF you really want to date this person, then you may want to tell them the truth.
