I get that but mac, I dunno you seem to have some good things happening like you got to travel recently and many do not even get to do that. I get that at times we feel empty, lonely and like everything is pointless but don't dwell on it. find ways to get busy, things to do, people to meet, places to go. you seem to have the freedom to do so... relish those times!

I guess the regrets are pulling me down again - I feel that I’ve missed a lot relationship wise..... I know going back ain’t possible. It’s hard to blank the intense loneliness and perceived unfairness of it all. I just don’t know who to talk to - done tons of therapy and that really hasn’t helped much. Not religious so that’s out. I get angry at everybody for having people in their lives. Even now at this late date there is nothing to hang onto - the memories just make me sad and the lack of guarantees are like a cancer. I can’t help but feel that my life has been the loneliest existence ever.... sorry 🤗

don't be sorry for feeling lonely and/or empty. I understand regrets and not minimizing your situation at all just making suggestions that I hope would help. But never ever be sorry for posting here about how you're feeling!

I don’t think you need to give up on dating. When I did online dating, there was ton of retired men in their 60s. You can try to find a date. A friend of mine just met a nice guy (in a meetups group), he is 70 I believe. Give it a try. Ton of vibrant people in their 60s.
