I have a friend who
Is worth more than All my childhood and high School friends put together. We met through groups That help those who Have been in hospital Get back on track. She is very bright and like me Was cut down in her prime. But I don't believe The social worker Who told her that she Is borderline aspergers. Because when I speak About what's bothering Me she has great intuition. I just think that she Is so nice that she Does not want to upset Or offend anyone. She tries to see the Good side to people And the happenings Of day to day life. She has been through The mill but remains Optimistic and hopeful. She sees the world as Inherently good and that It is her who has a "disbility" Where as I blame The world around me for its Prejudice and stigma. And my condition will Not hold me back. She is happy to accept Her lot and doesn't get angry. We are pretty different Personality wise but Because we have been Through similar troubles, We get along. |

Remember Asperger's is a spectrum syndrome. No one with it has exactly the same behaviors. She may have the intuition but there may be other aspects if her behaviors that indicate some Asperger's characterists. It is not an all or nothing kind of thing.

Nothing in what you describe necessarily states that this person cannot be on the spectrum. Aspergers does not make someone incapable of having normal emotions thoughts etc. Sure there are some autistic cases where someone may behave very differently than the average person but Aspergers many times is high functioning meaning they can go through life and handle things much like every other person. |

My son is ASD and he is very empathetic, intuitive affectionate funny, messy, loving and tactile.
This diagnosis merely tells us that the person with it is wired differently, that they may reach their conclusions in a different manner, that there maybe things they see we don't and vice versa. And each case is as individual as the person who has it. __________________ I Don't Care What You Think Of Me...I Don't Think Of You At All.CoCo Chanel. |
