Feel like a failure guys. I try so hard . I started lexapro a year ago and felt great, thought i could do it without meds and now i am beginning a relapse. i never had a therapist i just went to a GP and he gave me medication. idk what to do. im so sad and depressed. school starts in 2 weeks and im losing interest in everything.
i am so scared. i need help. my personality is changing again and i feel myself like drowning everyday. this ****ing sucks (sorry for the language). i want to see a therapist but im afraid at same time. i thought i could do it myself but i dont think i can anymore. |

What if you ask your doctor if you can start taking lexapro again, and at what dose?

Seeing a therapist can be scary, I know. I've been through many in my time and each time I go to try another one I get scared. Sometimes scary things can end up being very good things, though. Fear can protect us, but also holds us back.
Bill also makes a good point about the lexapro. If it helped you then it's definitely worth bringing up with your doc about taking it again. Doing both the lexapro and therapy could be very beneficial for you. __________________ |

I agree, try about taking lexapro again - and, perhaps, see a therapist.

Yeah im going back on it. Is this what a relapse feels like it? Before I stopped pill I was pretty comfortable. My CBT and everything was pretty good. Once I stopped it it's like I had ALL these anxious thoughts I couldn't control and depressive ones. It's so scary |

It is scary to go back towards anxiety and depression. But you did learn something valuable in the process! Therapy and medication help you a lot right now. So my suggestion is just what others also said: ask your doctor how to restart the Lexapro, and also go back to your CBT therapist. It is okay to have help, many of us here have gotten help, including me! |
