When's the last time you saw a bald man dating/going out with a really good looking woman?

It's rare in my opinion, even for those bald guys who still look good with a bald head.

A receding and obvious balding is clearly unattractive but totally bald puts women off too. Of course there'll be some women who will be into the bald look but it's more of a "fetish" kind of thing. Baldness is seen as universally unattractive and if you are bald at a relatively young age, your dating prospects really take a blow.

I don't want to believe all the sympathetic cries of "it's what inside that counts" and it's about confidence etc. but the reality is that women care about looks as much as men do and generally speaking baldness is not viewed as attractive. A bald shiny head is for the vast majority of women not something that turns their heads in the same way overweight women aren't going to have men chasing after them in a hurry.

I know several overweight women who are happily married (and they were overweight when they met their husbands).

I also really don't think baldness is seen as unattractive. I'm a woman, and it really doesn't matter to me. The guy I'm seeing right now is balding and shaves his head. But then I am overweight, so maybe it works out

I am bald, mostly. I do have some troubles with women, but I also do ok sometimes. I've been told I'm about a 7, which I find hard to believe but I've been told more than once that I'm a 7 or 7.5. When I'm looking for women, I choose those with good hearts first.

It’s very subjective. Depends on individual and cultural preferences. No universal rules of attraction

Some men actually look better bald. If you've ever seen Jesse Williams on Grey's Anatomy, he looks much better bald than with hair. I guess it would be hard if you had a funny-shaped head or something. I care more about faces than what's on top of your head.

The last time you posted this topic (old poster, new acct) I recall it went quite badly. People assured you bald can be attractive. You insisted it couldnt. Ultimately people suggested therapy to work on your own insecurities and self confidence.

Hows that for a recap? Lol. I dont have a 'fetish" for bald men. It would not stop me from being involved with one though. I'm not that superficial.

Last year you complained of not having a career or even a job and that causing your inability to find a date. You can’t control baldness but you can control your employment, at least some aspects of it. Did you look into improving your employment situation? Are you working on getting a career? Steady employment? Baldness has nothing to do with dating but lack of career/employment very much does. How is that aspect of your life going?

I think there are a lot of bald guys who date or are married to attractive women. I have a friend who is absolutely gorgeous and she's married to a very wealthy man who is really put together but hasn't been blessed in the hair department. She doesn't love him any less and they look perfect together. There are also a ton of Hollywood guys now who have balding heads and just shave them completely and I think they still look perfectly fine. This is definitely a totally individual type thing. Everyone has their preferences

Hair has long been something human beings can obsess over. When there were so many negative comments about a certain X's hair I found it upsetting in that it was not being considerate to millions of people that feel self conscious about their own hair or lack there of. There is an actor that always had amazing hair, he eventually lost it as he aged and finally just shaved his head and is now in a very popular series his name is James Spader. Well, he is still a good actor and has proven that with or without hair he can do well.

You can do a search on him to see what I mean. Also, he has a hard time seeing without glasses and could never wear contact lenses. He quit school at 11th grade and yet he still managed to work in different jobs and become a successful person.

I think what's going on inside the head, rather than on top of it, is what matters.

Says an overweight woman who's happily married.

I think Patrick Stewart is handsome, even in his 70's.

But my guess is that the OP is probably going to say that's different, because bald celebrities have money. A guy who's bald and broke doesn't have a chance with women, for circumstances ENTIRELY beyond his control. It's not about his personality or anything. It's all because women don't like bald men unless they have money.

Am I right, OP?
