My brother in law and his family are hypocrites. They claim to be Christians and "see God in every person" yet they treat my family like crap. They don't call on hoildays (giving lame excuses of "we thought you'd be busy), they don't call on birthdays, their kids ignore my kids.....it's a joke really. We drove for 2 days to visit them a year ago and felt unwelcome as soon as we walked in the door. We felt we couldn't do anything right around them. Their 26 year old daughter who has worked with young children as a daycare worker/teacher and claims to be "God's answer for all young children" screamed and shook her fist at my 10 year old daughter for dropping a hot marshmallow on her arm. Total accident and my daughter was in tears. No injury from it, yet this so-called Christian 26 year old had to scream and shake her fist in a 10 year olds face over it. God's answer to young chiildren? I think not! They are hypocrites! We've tried for 20 years to walk on egg shells around them to try to have a relationship, but still haven't made progress. My BIL's wife sent me an attack email 9 months ago (remember--she's supposed to be a Christian, right?) and I stood up for myself and fired back at her. Now we are completely ignored. My purpose for writing this is that I simply can not stand the hypocrisy. Don't go around telling people you're God's messengers when you treat your own family like Satan would. Anyone else have this problem?

I've heard stories of a widow having suggested to her to maybe wait a year to have a man in her life as opposed to receiving a waived fee for some types of classes for a child.
I remember thinking in amazement how preposterous it was to be sent off to church with my stepsister knowing full well the hypocrisy going on at home. Yeah, life is filled to the brim with those talking the talk but not walking the walk. I'd probably ask them how that church thing is working out for them if needing further contact. I cannot say that I'd have bit my tongue if that nonsense happened to one of my own. |

Yeah, my mom is "religious" and does some volunteer work for the church, but she's very judgmental and negative. She is not at all a nice person.
