I don't really use Facebook much but do have a few links to local mental health support groups. I have a friend who wants me to also be her friend on Facebook but will she be able to see all the groups I am part of? I wouldn't want that. Not really sure how this Facebook friends thing works.

I don't use Facebook often, Carmina, so unfortunately I don't have a lot of advice to give to you. Hopefully others will correct me if I'm wrong, but yes, I do believe that friends on Facebook can see everything you do, so yes, I'd suggest to be careful about who you add. I believe a simple Google search should be enough to have an answer to your question, though. Uusally this kind of thing is pretty well-known if it happens, especially on a big site like Facebook. Sending many hugs to you, Carmina

I believe you can set the privacy setting on the groups to limit who sees. or you can set her level to limit what she can see on your page. I wouldn't let that limit your options if you are really interested. tell her it's to get information for school, or a friend or don't tell her a thing. really you don't owe her an explanation..you could just have an interest in mental health. life is too short to worry about what someone on facebook will think of what you post or what group you belong to.
