Yes, that's the thing! Even though they're not literally in the same space with you, the fact that you can hear them so clearly while in your space still feels like an invasion.

In one apartment the noise was over my bedroom...also sometimes the ceiling in there leaked with heavy rains...so I switched and made my living room my bedroom. This ended up being a great solution...as the living room was bigger and with a fireplace and high ceilings. And a lot of windows and light. I really enjoyed it as my bedroom.
Then...another noisy elephant moved in upstairs and for some reason made all the noise and stomping directly over my living room/bedroom. Finally I moved. In the end...that's pretty much the only solution. In the meantime, I still think getting out and exploring other places to hang out..is an option. I do think aside from the loud peep sex your situation sounds really ideal. I would like to find something like that. Stupid neighbors ruining it all for you. __________________ |

Sigh. Update.
Fast forward to save typing... 3ish weeks ago I was so upset overhearing them screwing that I banged on the wall right below them. They immediately stopped making noise. Since that, I hadn't heard them do it, but I also didn't risk it and if I knew it was around "that time" and I wasn't going to work, I'd go to bed early and just watch things from my room until actually tired enough to sleep. I started to feel somewhat comfortable that the situation was at a tolerable level. Until today. I ate supper early today in order to be ready for a scheduled group run in the game I play. I had food in my teeth after, so went to the bathroom to brush them. I turned on the water to my sink and right as I do I hear moaning... I did not brush my teeth - I got the heck out of there as fast as I could. I didn't bang on the wall. Next time I should try. I'm a prisoner in my own home... Now I'm afraid to go to the bathroom in the middle of the evening. It's not even their usual time... So they've become entirely unpredictable, I don't know where or at what time I'm safe from this. I have to get a backbone and be willing to interrupt them. I wish it could not make me so anxious... ;-; __________________ |

It sounds like you got good results from banging on the wall the last time, so just go for it. It's better than talking to them face to face about it. Hopefully they will learn to be quieter.
