I am a ENTP-A. My T say this contribes to my high anxiety level and psychosis.

Do you think your personality type impact your mental illnesses?

I've not had a personality test as part of my therapy, only for ideas for career paths etc way back when. Maybe it affects some of the environmental triggers of your MI, as parts of how you approach life with your personality style? What about the biological factors?

To add...I don't know about these being concrete. Mine has fluctuated over the course of decades and even when taken months apart depending on life circumstances.
My E and I fluctuate often. Intuitive has remained constant. Thinking and Feeling have fluctuated remaining closer to T. J has been more steady over perception.
Sure it's backed by science at the same time if a quiz isn't a steady constant over the span of a lifetime, why pigeon hole to a label?
I think they are useful tools for growth and self awareness.

I don’t think it affects MI. I think your personality is just your personality. Knowing your Myers Briggs type might help figure out the best coping skills and strategies specific to you for working through issues. Myers Briggs Personality

I'm INFP, but I'm on the cusp of being an INTP. I think that there is some some legitimacy to Jungian typology when it comes to creating a model of consciousness through cognitive functions and the subset of the mind, but as a means to categorise people into types, I think its too limited.
