Hello,
I have a big problem with my relationships.

Generally, I have a quite strong personality, I am some kind of confident, extroverted, easy-going and happy. But recently when I meet with someone who has a strong personality, too, I tend to be really quiet, distant and lukewarm. I hate it because people think I am boring when it is really far from true. Even if I do know this "strong" person, I am still very distant and it drives me crazy. I want all of my friends to know the real me.

Is it possible that this kind of people make me uncomfortable even if I do like them? How can I just relax and have fun when I'm with them? I have issues with self-esteem. May it be the cause of my problem? How to fix it?

Thank you very much

Why do you need others to perceive you as exciting? I think you put too much pressure on yourself to be exciting. As a consequence, you become self-conscious of your behavior, which causes anxiety, which causes you to freeze up, which causes you to think you're being boring, and so on...

The trick is to be comfortable in silence. You don't have to be exciting and energetic all the time.
