Everything he sees he catalogs everything.not intentionally either. He also can remember details about cars to point that he remembers folks by theor car. He will remember every detail of a junk drawer but cant remember names nor major details to a story told 5mins prior

Many people have short term memories issues , I’m horrible with names , embarrassingly so.
Of course if his memory trouble is extreme I would advise a visit to the Doctor and maybe a referral to a Neurologist for testing. __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

I have always been like that myself. I can't remember names of people or places, but I sure as hell can describe the person to a T or know how to get to said place from multiple directions. I can describe people's shoes or cars or any little detail that grabs my attention, but sometimes I don't see the whole picture. It drives my wife nuts because she's like why do you know that or why does that even matter. But she has come to accept it over time. This has only gotten worse since my stroke and I do forget a lot of what she tells me 30 sec prior. We went to the store yesterday and it felt like every time we took a turn I was asking what we were there for. However, I could tell you where everything is because I have a mental map of the store.
Everyone's brain work differently and sometimes you just have to work with what you got. For the life of me I can't seem to understand how my wife's brain/thinking works at times but it's her little quarks that make me love her even more. __________________ Morality plays on stages of sin -Emilie Autumn |
