When you need help (for example for mental health or other concerns), where do you turn to? One helpful place is the therapists, but where else can you go/who to turn to other than just that (i. e. mental health centres if that exists? Or what?)
Do you think that just the therapists are enough?

If you need help urgently go to any emergency room at any hospital to be directed to more resources or to be kept safe if you are feeling like you might hurt yourself .

Do you have a support system of friends or family? Other than that there are support groups in person, online support groups and counselors. I don’t know what else there is unless you would need inpatient care.

You could try calling or texting a listening line staffed by trained volunteers, such as Caring Contact - We're Here To Listen

You could also try the 7Cups online volunteer listening service. It’s searchable. 🙂

Also depending on your severity of needing therapy try a self help book or YouTube videos about mental health, and both of these may help if you are on a long waiting list to see a therapist (as sometimes is the case). Reading books about depression and YouTube videos have helped me when depressed. In the past I did see counselors and it was helpful and very necessary especially when very depressed and/or anxious.

There is a texting based support I think it's 741741, I have seen it advertised. There is also Samaritans you can email everybody uses the name Joe, they are based out of Europe Google them I know they will email support and talk things over regardless of where you live .
Most areas have crisis lines and many have "warm lines" if your not having a crisis the warm lines are all staffed by trained volunteers who are recovering from MI ,do a search in your local area . And by all means bend one of our ears if you need to reach out and be heard .

I have been posting here in between. Other times I'll just turn to articles and reading, or family/ friends.

This is great information about the resources out there for people in need. I would be interested in even volunteering for some of these when I get myself a little bit better situated. There is a lot of therapy in giving and helping others.
