Wasn't in my plan, didn't use protection. He wormed his way over and than basically jumped me. He messaged me since but he's not a guy I'm interested in really. I am still fertile my OB urged me to get an IUD, I have been abstaining and planned to use condoms. But really was caught off guard by this guy. Anyway now it's basically a two week wait. And if I am I have no idea what I'd do if I actually am. I am so naïve to think people mean what they say when all they are after is one thing.

I know you are Catholic. However, there are 48-72 hour pills you can take to make sure you are not pregnant. That is, you take the pills within 48-72 hours. You should ask your doctor about it, if interested. I am sorry you were jumped upon. Also, many men on dating apps only want sex. This is a fact. If you were assaulted, you should report it to the police and file a report. Please stand up for yourself and don't give in to men who violate you.

When was it? Can you still do morning after pill? I’d worry about STD more than pregnancy. By jumping you, do you mean it was against your will? Is it something you should get police involved? Was it consensual?

Sometimes I think I should put “will not have sex on first date” on my dating profile.
I’m sorry you’re struggling with this. I had a one night stand and the condom came off inside of me when he withdrew. My period was late and I was panicking. Fortunately, I was not pregnant. I can relate to what you’re feeling. __________________ It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence, to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. Oh, man, I am so sorry you are dealing with this, Aviza. Do you think maybe you should just be sure he didn't give you something? Better to catch it early than late, I guess.
Sending you positive vibes and prayers. I know it sounds weird, as I am male, but I have actually been in essentially the same situation, in reverse--sort of. Long, long story, but suffice it to say, I am a Christian and, well, anyway, let's just say I feel for you and definitely empathize. __________________ When I was a kid, my parents moved a lot, but I always found them--Rodney Dangerfield |

I just bought plan B and took it. Didn't realize I could buy over the counter, thought I had to see a doctor. It was Sunday so I'm at 72 hours, but it's worth a shot.
I didn't say no in the moment but did say no beforehand. I guess it falls under consensual. But standing up for myself is a work in progress. I am returning to dbt therapy. I bought some condoms, in case I get into a situation like that again I will have them available. Plan B is expensive and was sold out at Target, went to Walgreens. __________________ Son: 14, 12/15/2009 R.I.P. Daughter: 20 Diagnosis: Bipolar with Psychosis. Latuda 100 mgs. |

My advise is go meet new people in a coffee shop , restaurant , anywhere public first and for numerous dates , I would not want a stranger to know where I live until I have gotten to know them better.

You still have to see your doc to rule out STD. I’d say if he jumped you after you said no, it’s not consensual. Was it st your house? It’s so dangerous.

Hi Aviza, I just want to say I know what its like to have to deal with all you're going through (being pressured to have sex, giving into sex, making poor choices when it comes to sex and dealing with your emotions of loneliness and depression through sexual behavior).
My other advice would be to see your gyno asap for a pregnancy test and STD testing. I see you making positive strides forward. We make mistakes. I think DBT will be very beneficial to you. It will give you skills to help deal with your emotions and there's even an interpersonal skill set it teaches, like assertiveness. Sending you hugs. |
