Hi @Dkrob68. Welcome to the forum. You sound completely exasperated. May I ask how you have changed for this relationship? Have you told this to your boyfriend that you're fed up and the fights and accusations need to STOP? Sometimes being pushed to a breaking point brings a person to making an ultimatum: either this all stops now or I'm done and I'm leaving. And honestly, it sounds like that's where you may be.

In my rather lengthy experience, people who cheat--cheat. It is their nature. You should move on with your life and put this toxicity behind you.

Why is he so insecure and why is he accusing you of cheating?

It seems hard, @Dkrob68! I completely agree with all the other wise and wonderful posters about talking about ALL of this with him. Let him realize and understand that things can't go on like this if he wants the relationship to continue. Sending many safe, warm hugs to BOTH you, @Dkrob68, your Family, your Friends and ALL of your Loved Ones! Keep fighting and keep rocking NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, OK?!

IME people that accuse their partners constantly are needy, insecure and often cheating on the accused partner.

If you're hanging on because you think he will change, he won't, people don't change be cause you want them to, they may change if they want to.
You need to confront him about this, open your heart, talk it out and if it still doesn't change you may be happier without him. |

7 years. being blamed for problems, in a situation where you always are made to be the one causing problems.... I'm quite familiar. you're not married. Get out now. it does NOT get better. This from someone that DID marry her and ended up in a situation of over 20 yrs - same type of thing and it never changed, never got better. Trust me, I am NOT saying it "can't" get better but you cannot change the other person and if you are, of course, doing what you can to improve your own behavior or actions and such.. there isn't much else you can do and after 7 years that's a good gauge for what it will be like for the long term if not, for life.
