Going through couples counseling with someone who has been abusive

We’re getting a third cat. It’s a rescue mission for my husband’s family. It’s a family owned cat. The cat’s owner is flying from California to bring us the cat next weekend. Well last night my husband tells the cat's owner that she can stay at our place the first night here even though our state requires her to quarantine for 14 days after travel. He invited her without asking me and without making sure it was ok with me. I was understandably upset but we were also partying last night. After he hung up the phone he promised me we would be fine and that she’ll be virus-free even though she’s flying. I eventually said no, we cannot do that and I don’t feel comfortable or safe with this plan. So I told him this morning I had been mad at him for this. He says why, we were partying. Now he has to tell her she can’t stay with us, and I’ll look like the bad guy. I’m still a little upset. It was very thoughtless of him and a unilateral decision he made without checking with me. I live here too and don’t want to take any risks. It’s important and I don’t want either of us potentially exposed. He does this sometimes though. Makes decisions without asking me.

Beth, you could try PMing admin and ask to have the title changed.
