I value being treated like a person instead of a thing. Being objective is seriously hard when you care for the other person. Married 11 yrs and in the last two, I’ve witnessed everything fall apart. Getting my spouse to omit that he also has mental health issues. I’ve learned skills to manage mine, but I don’t want to manage his. I think getting help is terrifying, because you finally have to take responsibility. Even though the best thing for my child is to be there-Letting go of the marriage feels better.

Agreed, i do not think you can manage your mental health issues and his. Looking after your own is quite a task but, you might need to bear the burden at the same time, be honest with him and talk openly.
