PROS: it works
CONS: none

I normally order approved drugs by using americantrustpills (seriously, this place sucks) free of danger. Unfortunately I use to take plenty of it so minimal expense is extremely important for me.

PROS: nice for anxiety, good sedation, very relaxing
CONS: long elimination

Personaly i like Valium better then Ativan even though Ativan is a more potent benzo. Valium's effects are a little better tolerated then Ativan. I find if i take 2mg of ativan at night to help me sleep, the next morning is hell. Makes me feel groggy and tired through the hole day. Valium doesn't make me feel this way. Valium also has better muscle relaxing properties then Ativan, posibly because Ativan works more for anxiety. Valium is a great all around benzo, and by that i mean i feel it works more balanced for anxiety, sedation, and mucle relaxing. Where Ativan works better for anxiety, it also is the only benzo i took that produced a lot of amnesia, where as Valium does not. It is weird to say but i prefer Valium over Ativan, but Xanax is the better benzo out of them all in my opinion.

PROS: fairly fast relief from anxiety, long half life
CONS: tolerance and withdrawal

I have mixed feelings about this medication... I take it occasionally for anxiety when I'm 'spinning out'. I find it calms me down fairly swiftly and I feel nice and calm and relaxed... If I take it in the evening I also feel relaxed through the next day as it has a long half life. The trouble I have with this medication is that the effects are a little too good. One really does feel nice and calm and relaxed and so the temptation is to take some more when the feeling wears off... Over time one builds up a tolerance (so one needs to take more to achieve the same effects) and if one attempts to cut back or stop taking them the withdrawal symptoms can be severe. I'd be extremely careful for this one... If people are taking it for anxiety I'd reccomend looking at / working on other ways to deal with anxiety. I have also had fairly good success substituting as needed benzos with as needed chlorpromazine... Chlorprom made me feel 'drugged' rather than 'great' if I took too much but I found similar benefits with respect to anxiety. A slightly lower dose didn't make me feel drugged and I never had a problem with tolerance and withdrawal on that one...

PROS: Works wonders for anxiety
CONS: Addictive

Would have loved to stay on this med, but physician did not want me to because of my addictions (still relatively new to recovery at the time). Prescribed a "weaker" version of valium (clonazapam)instead.

PROS: It stops all my panic attcks
CONS: Don't expect to be able to do anything after taking

excellent treatment for panic attack, even stops me feeling suicidal in extreme cases. but i only take it when i really need it, not a drug for repeatative use or people who maybe tempted to abuse.

PROS: initially provided some relief for anxiety attacks
CONS: continually needed more to provide any anxiety relief

Diazepam is the generic for valium. I was using both generic & the valium on & off for almost 12 years. Towards the end, I was having to take such a large amount to get any relief from the anxiety attacks that is became unreasonable to use. Initially, it was good for providing relief from my anxiety attacks. By the end, it wasn't providing any relief no matter how much I took.
