Yes, I'd say that mine for ex-MC have gone away. It took time and separation though. And, I guess, being hurt by him.

I thought mine had. Well, they had until I went back and saw her again 3 weeks ago. Dumb, dumb, dumb me. Cuz they came back. I am hopeful they will go away again like LT said with separation from her.

Yes. When I was in extreme emotional distress they popped up again. Overall, I mostly worked through them because he was willing to talk through them and has solid boundaries. He didn't feed into things nor did he shame me for them. In order to work through them it is vital to have a competent, well informed therapist with super solid boundaries. Otherwise it can end up being a horrible reenactment and a giant mess with the client hurting badly in the end.
