I'm going through a rough moment lately. But I know I'll work through it. I always do. I've been reading what others say at PC about various things & it helps a lot. (Thank you!) That's what I was hoping for when I joined PC. I'm so grateful for this! It's the only therapy I have right now. And it's probably doing more good than if I tried "professionals" again. Although, I did have CBT therapy in the past, & I still use its principles to help me. I believe in them. It's just that circumstances can be so overwhelming, it takes more work, especially when we feel physically & emotionally exhausted. That's all.

I have been thinking about checking this book out.
https://www.amazon.com/Self-Analysis...s%2C489&sr=8-1 I don't like taking head meds and don't really have the option of working with a therapist. I do find that I can get psychological insights from reading on the subject. |

My wife and I had a great therapist who I originally went to as a therapist for being adopted. It eventually turned into couple's therapy and she helped us immensely.
I have since moved and attempted to get some therapy as I have issues other then my illness to deal with, but have dumped all of them and find it easier to find support from people who have and are going through it as opposed to some onlooker. The thing I hate is the waiting game. Like when they ask you a question and you answer and they just wait hoping you will keep talking. I just sit there in silence until it becomes really awkward. Then I dump them. |
