Hi, all. I have spd and have always had less than average physical strength and stamina. I was underweight up till my twenties. Wondering if this is common with our diagnosis?

Avlady, yes it definitely would help to lose weight, but I am talking about always having been underdeveloped. I was the one kid who could not climb a rope or ride a bike. I was skinny. And now weight and age seem to slow me down much more than others I know who are my age and BMI. I saw a reference somewhere about schizoids tending to be muscularly underdeveloped.

I'm not the strongest but I would say I'm pretty average in terms of strength and athleticism. My official dx is SPD

I'm not sure if I have SPD, but something schizoid like has definitely been going on with me for a very long time.
I never had a problem with my weight, my strength or athleticism though, I always considered myself at least average in these areas, though in some aspects I go beyond average, as I do lean towards being explicitly sporty, I actually seem to have talent in some sports, and I like to put my strength into things. Again, I'm not sure if I have SPD or the symptoms are the result of something else instead, overall I'm not at all like the stereotypical schizoid if you look at me. |
