To continue the convo from the last thread, my partial hospital doctor told me I had two options left - after looking at my medication history - Vraylar and Clozapine. I chose to go with Vraylar and I'm very happy that's been a great drug for me so far.

The clinic I go to has a lot of people on Clozapine, I know a few and they do very well on it when nothing else helped them

That was the same for me, at one point my doctor was considering clozaril then started vraylar and it ended up being an amazing med for me

I know one person on Clozapine and it's been a miracle drug for them. They're able to handle stressors that would have caused a psychotic break before. It's amazing.

It's super new, came out in 2015. I don't think even docs know much about it.

I'm not sure if a group home would work. I want to go to one so I can get out the house and do more things. at least if I go to a group home I'd be close to things and a bus line and usually group homes make you either get a job or volunteer somewhere I'm going assume I'd be doing some volunteering stuff.

It's fairly new, came out like 2 years ago for schizophrenia and bipolar mania. Doesn't have a generic yet , supposedly similar to abilify. I was on abilify a long time ago but it didn't really help me, this does, it's weight neutral it seems, I've been on it since the beginning of the spring

oops. came out in 2015, still very new though

didn't realize it was similar to abilify, that's interesting. Abilify didn't help me at all but Vraylar almost completely controls my symptoms.

Funny how meds work

Took my night meds and seroquel an hour ago, now I'm voraciously hungry all of the sudden. Grabbed an apple, damage control. If I'm gonna eat I'll at least make good choices

Yeah it’s got the partial agonist at d2 like abilify but , it’s also got strong d3 binding.....
