Went to an Observatory tonight and got to hold a meteorite that is 4.5 billion years old. Not quite on a par with when I held a human brain, but still very cool. Unfortunately it was raining tonight so we couldn't see a single star (boo!), but it was still a really interesting trip

For Max's first Christmas, I bought a plain stocking that I then decorated with ribbon, bells, white felt snowflakes and sequins. It's very cute. I also trained him to associate presents with food, by hiding treats in the wrapping paper, so he gets very excited when he sees his stocking and the presents and tries to open them himself

I'll see if I can find a photo

ETA: Max sticking his head in his stocking to check he's not missed any presents hiding at the bottom!

Aww how cute! I've never put my cats treats in their stockings before I'll try that and maybe some catnip

Fair warning though: the association is so strong that he thinks ALL presents have treats in them, so no one can open a birthday present in peace now without him trying to stick his nose in there to see what it is!
