So I rented The Zero Theorem and I found it intellectually stimulating, on an existential level, but it didn't feel organic at all. It was faux for me. I felt the movie didn't even take itself seriously, which some people might like. That works once in awhile, like with evil dead, army of darkness, and idiocracy. The most real character I felt was Bob. This 13 year old kid was the wise man of the film.

I had a scary movie binge last weekend. I don't remember the names of all i watched, but i did watch It Follows. I liked it pretty well. (do not recommend if you feel paranoid/persecuted) I watched another pne i liked better...now i can't think of it.
Pointless post.

I might watch it at home. I have a hacked amazon stick, so I can watch movies that are still in theater on it, however, many of them have subtitles and a shaky camera work lol I'm still going to watch The Last Jedi in theaters at least two times.

I still recommend the movie Split. It's going to merge with the Unbreakable's story line in the future! So much more organic than Marvel and DC.

This looks rather interesting and thought provoking

Not sure where it would go but would be interesting to have a discussion thread about people's thoughts on this

Carmina, that film might be controversial but that's my middle name. I certainly learned a lot about myself during my psychosis, and that coupled with my studies, having first hand experience of what a plurality of mental illnesses are like helps me understand what I've been studying this entire time, the mind. Philosophy of mind and philosophy of psychology were my chosen niches in philosophy well before my psychosis hit. It was interesting to be a part of a narrative so deeply that you could look in works of art and see a tragedy unfold on a deeper level because my thought processes and emotional level were so heightened like never before. My access to empathy and compassion were at it's greatest during my psychosis.

...but, ultimately, my psychosis was too much of a destructive force. Something IS wrong when you start to turn your professors into affirmative action and the police. Something is wrong when you believe your phone has been hacked by your closest of friends. Something is wrong when you've searched your mind so often and in such distress that you start to lose cognitive capacity.

I worked right across the street from it and there was always a line down the street of people wanting to get in during lunch. I don't get it. $20 for a Sammy?

I saw Split a while back... I really enjoyed it. Quite a complex movie in its own way.

I re-watched Walk The Line yesterday. I always enjoy it. I need something good to watch this evening. I'd like to watch Shallow Grave, but I'm waffling on purchasing it, because I'm not sure my wife will like it.

Saw The Mummy with Tom Cruise. I didn't care for it at all. It had the same flavor of the last Mummy movies with Brendan Frazier. I don't recommend it.
