I am not sure if I am schizophrenic or if I just get panic attacks. Since 2012 - I have had 4 episodes that my wife thinks are hallucinations or delusions. Each of the episodes lasted max 7 days, and once the episodes are done I am back to normal. I do have recollections of everything I said during the episodes, some are religious thoughts and others are negative thoughts about my wife and mother-in-law and some close friends. In my last episode I thought that we were going to have a child and it is going to be the messiah(I was unsure about this though) .After the last episode I had decided that I would tell my wife everything that came to my mind so that is why I said about the messiah. I also thought that heaven was something that you die and rise again immediately and that you can lie on the ground and all the little insects and worms would crawl all around you. I am not a very religious person by nature. The last episode also lasted for 7 days with medication.

Once I am done with the episodes my thinking and behaviour is very normal.
Currently I am on latuda and serequol.

I would appreciate if someone gave me feedback or input on this .

We can only offer insights on the forums here; otherwise it is up to medical professionals to properly diagnose and treat a medical condition.

That being said, it sounds like maybe they were brief psychotic periods? For SZ diagnosis it has to be a continuous ongoing issue for 6 months minimum. Before that there is schizophreniform that contains most symptoms of SZ but only lasts between 1-6 months.

Do you know what the pdocs dx'd you with? Perhaps you can request copies of the medical records given that you have already been prescribed APs for these symptoms.

I went to psychiatrist in 2011. I answered all the questions she asked but most of the details were given by my wife(she spoke separately with the psychiatrist). I was diagonised with psychophrenia then even though I did not have any psychotic episodes till 2012. It has stuck with me since then and I have been on antipsychotics since then.

Since I have been on antipsychotics for such a long time is there a chance that if I skip it for some days I will get a psychotic episode.?
