Woman born in 1923 wrongly thinks that she it taken somewhere else, demands to take her home but she is it at home. This is in war zone in Ukraine with too little help available. What can be done to help her?

I could be wrong but from your location, you're not in the same country with this woman. What's your relationship with her?

Is this dementia? That question might be better asked to other caregivers.

Hello dogrex: I noticed this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral! I hope you find PC to be of benefit.
As to your particular concern, a woman born in 1923 is very old! She is likely struggling with senior dementia. Here's a link to an Alzheimer's Society website which may be of some help: https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/get-su...erson-dementia And then here are links to parts 1 & 2 of an article, from PsychCentral's archives, on the subject of getting through delusional beliefs. Perhaps some of the information in these articles can be of some help to whomever might be available to help her: https://blogs.psychcentral.com/careg...ional-beliefs/ https://blogs.psychcentral.com/careg...-to-delusions/ My best wishes to you... __________________ "I may be older but I am not wise / I'm still a child's grown-up disguise / and I never can tell you what you want to know / You will find out as you go."
