I have a mostly positive relationship with my low dose of olanzapine. It keeps my paranoia at bay, has even helped a bit with voices and perhaps most importantly it doesn’t affect my motivation too much.

I have however gained 40lbs but I’m slowly managing to lose. That’s the only downside. Albeit a big one. Oh and I have high cholesterol.

I have found I have less urges to eat sugary food now like I did at first.

The strange thing is when I was first on olanzapine many years ago up to 20mg for a few months I didn’t gain any weight.

I guess it all varies for each person and even then over time individually.
